Hydrogen isn’t just the most common element found in our universe — it’s also a major part of the human body. By weight, it’s the third most prominent component of us (following oxygen and carbon). While it’s not readily available in our environment in gaseous form, that’s exactly how it manifests in our bodies, helping each of our cells run like well-oiled machines.

Another small pilot study completed in 2012 and published in the journal Medical Gas Research also found that the additional consumption of hydrogen gas (via a hydrogen gas-infused water) before exercise helped elite male athletes stave off muscle fatigue during bouts of intense exercise.
This research further supports that a supply of hydrogen gas to the cell metabolism can help to reduce the lactic acid build-up commonly produced when the muscles in the body are put under serious stress.

And there’s more where that came from. In 2015, researchers reviewed more than 300 existing scientific articles on molecular hydrogen and how it impacts the human body. The conclusions of the review further supported the ability of hydrogen gas to mitigate the harmful effects of free radicals that encroach on all cells at some point or another.
